American Associates of University Women (AAUW) Concord Branch

The American Association of University Women (AAUW) is the nation’s leading voice promoting equity and education for women and girls. Since our founding in 1881, AAUW members have examined and taken positions on the fundamental issues of the day – educational, social, economic, and political. AAUW Concord’s Educational Foundation awards $1500 scholarships to women transferring to a four-year college/university.

Eligibility Requirements:
•Female LMC student transferring to 4-year college/university in Fall 2022
•Minimum 3.5 GPA
•Reside in Contra Costa County
•U.S. Citizen preferred but not required
•Received a minimum of 60-semester units upon graduation from LMC
•Financial need

Application Requirements:
1. Signed AAUW Concord scholarship application (click VISIT)
2. Copy of completed LMC general scholarship application (available online at https://losmedanos.academicworks.com/opportunities)
3. Unofficial LMC transcript
4. Two letters of recommendation, one of which must be from an LMC faculty member, professor, instructor, teacher, or academic counselor)
