Cardenas Markets Foundation Scholarship Program

The Cardenas Markets Foundation continues its commitment to supporting the communities it serves by providing scholarship funds to students in the areas where Cardenas Markets operates. In sum, 65 scholarships totaling $277,000 will be awarded for the 2025 academic year, and we are now accepting applications! Recipients will be selected based on their academic qualifications, financial need, leadership attributes and commitment to serving their local community.

Eligibility:
To qualify for a Cardenas Markets Foundation scholarship, applicants (regardless of immigration status) must:

• Reside in a city where Cardenas Markets, Tony’s Fresh Markets, and El Rancho Supermercados have a presence. Only those applicants that provide proof of residence in an eligible city will be able to continue the application form.
• Plan to enroll in the Fall 2025 in an institution of higher education or vocational training
• Applicants must have graduated from high school by June 30, 2025 or earlier to be eligible.
• Non-traditional students and GED recipients are eligible to apply as long as they meet the other conditions.
• Carry a minimum GPA or 2.7.
