2025 Marina Scholarship

The 2025 Marina Scholarship will be awarded to students who portray academic excellence working towards a degree in the following fields of interest: landscape construction, engineering, construction management, business administration, and/or related fields. The scholarship is also open to members of union trades specific to landscape careers.

*Requirements: *

  • Scholarship recipient(s) must be a resident of California or attending a College/University or construction skilled trades training Program in California. 
  • Scholarship recipients must be enrolled in the Fall 2025 semester or quarter. (May 2025 college/university graduates are not eligible)
  • Scholarship recipient(s) must maintain a grade point average of 2.50 or above.
  • Scholarship recipient(s) must be working towards a degree in a construction related major or pursuing training/education to ready them for a career in the construction skilled trades.
  • Scholarship recipient(s) must be enrolled as a part-time student (taking at least 6 units) and have been accepted into, or are currently attending, a four-year university, or community college (letter of acceptance required) OR currently attending or accepted to attend a pre-apprenticeship or apprenticeship program, or trade/technical school providing education and training necessary to prepare them for a landscape construction skilled trades career (i.e. Laborer etc.).
  • Provide two letters of recommendation. One must be from a current or former school/ university educator or counselor. One letter must be from a current or former employer, preferably a construction-related employer.
  • Include a resume and/or summary of your background, interest, achievements or accomplishments with a list of any awards/honors you’ve received. Include any current or upcoming internships.
  • Include a 300-dpi high-resolution photo of yourself (jpeg file).
  • Include your unofficial transcript (if applicable and attending 2 or 4 year college/university)
  • Write a brief personal statement describing, your landscape construction career goals, and why you think you should be considered for the 2025 Marina Scholarship.
