Assistance League of Diablo Valley Return to School Scholarship

Applicants for this scholarship must be a non-traditional student or re-entry student. The applicant must be returning to school after a gap in their education (usually after high school graduation) or a student already in college who has some gaps of a year or more in their course work, or part time enrollment over a few years.

Assistance League of Diablo Valley shall provide funding for a scholarship to be paid half each quarter/semester to help cover tuition, books and supplies. A recipient must remain in school to complete the term following receipt of the scholarship payment and maintain an overall minimum grade point average of 2.5 with a minimum of 8 units for the term following receipt of the scholarship payment. All scholarship information is confidential.

Requirements for Application:

1. Student must be a high school graduate with a minimum 2.5 GPA or a GED recipient, planning to attend or currently enrolled in an accredited community college or vocational school. Applicant may also be transferring to a 4-year school from a community college
2. May not be a chapter member, the relative of a chapter member, an Assisteens member or an employee of Assistance League of Diablo Valley.
3. Resident of Contra Costa County
