National Scholarship by TheDream.US

The following are the requirements for the 2026-2027 Round: Applications are open to first generation immigrant students with or without DACA or TPS who came to the U.S. before the age of 16 and before Nov. 1, 2020. The National Scholarship Award will help cover your tuition and fees at one of our Partner Colleges up to a maximum of $33,000 for a bachelor’s degree.

Scholars also receive an additional stipend for books, supplies, and transportation up to a maximum of $6,000. While we consider your GPA, we place great emphasis on your dedication to community service and your commitment to academic and career success despite the barriers and challenges that Dreamer students face daily.

Criteria:

  • You are a first-generation immigrant student who is currently undocumented with or without DACA or TPS and came to the United States before November 1, 2020;
  • Entered the United States before the age of 16 and have continuously lived in the United States since then;
  • Have significant unmet financial need; (If you are receiving or eligible for the Federal Pell Grant, you are not eligible for our scholarship.)
  • Have graduated or will graduate from a United States high school (or have earned or will earn a high school equivalency diploma) before the Fall of 2026;
  • Graduated or will graduate with a high school GPA of 2.5 or better on a 4.0 scale and have a cumulative college GPA of 2.5 or better (if you have earned college credits after high school);
  • Intend to enroll full-time in an associate or bachelor’s degree program at a Partner College in your state in the Fall of 2026 or Spring of 2027; and
  • Are eligible for in-state tuition at the Partner College you want to attend (not applicable if attending a private Partner College in your state, an online Partner College, or if you live in Texas, see college list).
